Coachella & Beyond

Just recently, we have all witnessed the presence of a huge music festival- Coachella. It is the biggest 3-day concert where artists from every genre come and perform on multiple stages at the same time. Yes, it does seem pretty amazing, right? This is actually a stretch when talking about the Palm Springs music festival. Coachella is not really as it seems, and if society is aware of this, why do people keep going?
For a couple of years now, I have watched vlogs and videos for the past few Coachella's, and read reviews about it. And I will say that even though it is claimed a "good time" and "the best thing of my life", about 75% of these statements are complete lies. One who chooses to go to this event will end up spending about over 3000 dollars, and half of this is the ticket. This goes towards the crazy outfits that claim to be "different from everyone else" and the AirB&B's all the way to food and supplies. Now I don't know about you, but this doesn't sound too fun to me.
Coachella is connected to media because of not only the unnecessary advertising that is done by the people who attend, but the instagram photos, the blogs (like mine), the vlogs and so much more combine to make Coachella the dream place, but reality escapes here. It has an effect of almost everyone who watches or sees these media posts because it just makes the audience want to attend or even just simply talk about it.
My claim is that Coachella is just too overhyped and exaggerated because something this big and this   enforced cannot be perfect as people say it is. I think that Coachella has created its own image that has stuck but is also changing every year. It is all a game of perception, and what others think of it-and it always starts with media.
